Jason Derulo says he & Jordin split because he felt pressured to marry

Image
In an interview with Ryan Seacrest today, Jason Derulo said he and longtime girlfriend Jordin Sparks broke up be cause he felt so much pressure to settle down... "W hat happened...in a nutshell, there was a lot of tension in the relationship for a lot of different reasons... There was a lot of pressures of marriage. There was a lot of arguing and stuff like that that just weighed on our relationship over time. When you stop having more good times than bad bad times, it’s time to call it quits. It becomes something that is unhealthy. I'm not one to throw my business out on the street, but I thought it was important because things are getting a little out of hand. To be fair, it was not just from her either. It was kind of from everybody. That’s not the sole reason, but it definitely played a part. I 'll be lying if I said that we parted in good terms. But it's not a bad situation. There’s no bad blood. We didn’t end off on a weird way or a negativ

Lagos State Takes Over T. B. Joshua’s Church

Image
Officials of the Lagos state building control agency have taken control of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (Scoan) premises as part of the ongoing investigation into why one of its buildings collapsed recently killing about 115 people. On September 12, a six-storey hotel building within the Scoan premises, owned by multi-millionaire pastor TB Joshua collapsed at Ikotun in Lagos. Since the accident, the federal government has launched an inquiry to find out what happened amid international calls for those culpable to be brought to book. Given the large number of foreign nationals who died in the  tragedy, the Nigerian government has been under pressure to act. As part of measures introduced to get to the bottom of what happened, the Lagos State Building Control Agency (Lasbca) has taken over responsibility for the sprawling Scoan premises. Abimbola Animashaun-Odunayo, Lasbca’s general manager , said: “What the synagogue needs to know is that the place is no more i

Crisis looms in Enugu PDP over Chime’s successor

Image
There were indications on Saturday that a major crisis was imminent in the Enugu State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party over the selection of a member of the House of Representatives, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, by Governor Sullivan Chime as his successor. Ugwuanyi, the member representing Igbo Eze North /Udenu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, was reportedly anointed by Chime to succeed him in 2015 during a meeting at the Government House, Enugu. The meeting came after the rally organised by the Chime-backed Enugu State Movement for the re-election of President Goodluck Jonathan at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium. It was gathered that members of the Enugu State PDP caucus attended the meeting, where a motion moved by Chime for Ugwuanyi to succeed him in office was reportedly backed by party chieftains including the state PDP chairman, Mr. Vita Abba, who was believed to be also nursing governorship ambition. Sources at the meeting said after Chime

Meet ‘Pastor Yemisi’, The Cute Single Lady Who Took Over Pastor Anita Oyakhilome’s Column on Rhapsody of Reality Daily Devotion

Image
The name of Rev. Anita and her picture have finally been removed from Christ Embassy’s number one devotional , Rhapsody of Realities, a publication she co-authors with her husband, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome. Before now, there have been stories that her name has been removed from the daily devotional , however reports gathered indicates that it is only the October edition that her name and pictures were removed. Before the latest development, her picture and that of her husband, Chris, adorned the front cover but it is now Chris Oyakhilome alone, and the back page that usually had the couple’s pictures has equally been edited, with no trace of Pastor Anita’s picture in the whole book from page 1 to page 31.Among the reasons said to have been raised in the on going divorce issue is that of Rhapsody of Realities. While we cannot adduce a reason for the removal of her name and picture from the daily devotional, the issue has however raised some questions needing answers. The
