Mr. Arinze and wife have been blessed with two boys before now. The child was delivered last night in an hospital in Maryland, US. According to Mr. Arinze the baby and mother are in good shape. “We have welcomed our baby girl. child no 3 last night. Baby girl born in an hospital in Maryland, USA. Mother and baby in good shape,” he added. Congrats to them.

Too sad. A lady who was trying to get to work at Lekki Gardens this morning was crushed to death by a truck. According to eyewitness, the lady was trying to cross from the Abraham Adesanya End to the Lekki Gardens End when the truck ran over her. The truck driver tried to run but was stopped by a crowd that immediately gathered. One of her colleagues eventually came to the scene and identified her and even said tomorrow is her birthday. The Federal Government has postponed the resumption of primary and secondary schools across the country to Monday October 13th, it has been announced. Primary and Secondary schools were supposed to resume on September 22nd but about two weeks ago, FG postponed it indefinitely to prevent an outbreak of the Ebola Viral Disease. They announced today that schools can resume October 13th. The Federal Government also stopped all summer schools.

Now I have no way of confirming this because I didn't watch it myself but according to CKN who watched the program, a Senior Registrar with Igbobi Orthopaedic hospital, Lagos, Dr Akindele Akintayo revealed this morning on a TV programme that another Liberian have also been detected with the deadly Ebola virus in Nigeria. Dr. Akintayo said on the programme that the Liberian has been kept at the IDH in Lagos and could not confirm if the new case had a contact with late Mr Sawyer or not. More on this later... A 19 year old welder apprentice was caught yesterday August 19th after having sex with a chicken at the Continental area of Akure, the Ondo state capital. According to reports by Vanguard , the boy was discovered to have committed the act after the owner of the chicken, Mrs Stella Akintola, who is the boy's neighbor and reared chickens in the compound, heard her chickens making noise inside their pen and decided to go and find out why they were restless. Tragedy was, on Monday, averted at the Murtala Muhammed Airport, when a suspected Boko Haram member was arrested while attempting to detonate an explosive at the Centrex unit of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), at the international wing of the airport. According to information gathered, the suspect was able to gain access under the guise that he was a physically-challenged, which truly he is. Security men of the agency, sensing his unusual movement while trying to press an object, got him apprehended, upon which he was caught with an explosive detonator. The airport police command was promptly alerted, while the suspected bomber was handed over to them. The suspect was then taken to the Beesam police station, Airport command, where he is currently undergoing interrogation. The National Hunters’ Association of Nigeria (NHAN) has accused the Goodluck Jonathan government of using the Ebola virus outbreak to harm its business. The group said things have been hard for its members, ever since the government told Nigerians to by stop eating bush meats, monkeys and bats, animals which are believed to be carriers of Ebola. While addressing journalists in Lagos on Tuesday, 12 August, the association made a statement saying that they are gradually loosing their main source of livelihood. Chief Ishola Olasehinde, the president of the group, said the directive is unfair to hunters who help in safeguarding the country’s borders against terrorist attacks. He said, “We hunters are the ones who protect the country’s borders from being invaded by nomads from Mali and Lake Chad.
