The Minister of Health, Prof. Onyebuchi Chukwu, has said that Nigeria is now at risk of contacting the deadly Ebola virus which has been spreading across neighboring West African countries in recent times. The virus which first broke out in Guinea in January this year, is said to have no vaccine at the moment and has killed a total of 87 people with 137 cases reported since the outbreak. Ibenuba Henry Onyinyechukwu, a Nigerian living in Thailand has been arrested by Thailand police for possession and dealing in illegal drugs, cocaine. Ibenuba, who had been dealing in hard drugs in Thailand for a while, was arrested following a well planned move by the police. A Thai lady named Somkid Kwanngern was first arrested with 1.2g of cocaine and upon questioning told the police it was her Briton friend, Curtis Martin Taylor, who gave them to her. She took the police to Taylor who confessed to buying the drugs from Ibenuba. The Thai police hatched a secret investigation on Ibenuba using the Thai lady who pretended to be a buyer. She called Ibenuba asking to buy 5.45g of cocaine from him and he asked her to come to his house at KK Apartment to receive it, which she did. One of the most iconic wrestlers of all time, James Brian Hellwig , popularly known as The Ultimate Warrior, has died at the age of 54, days after being inducted into the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Hall of Fame. According to TMZ, Warrior collapsed on April 8th while walking to his car with his wife in Arizona outside of their hotel. He was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. When he was added to the Hall of Fame on April 5th, Ultimate Warrior said "One day everyone must breath his last. And at that time, all that would matter would be what you had done while you were breathing. That's what keeps your legacy living..." He is survived by his wife and two daughters. According to a report by Punch, a Nigerian soldier who was a guest on the Voice of America Hausa Service has claimed that some military chiefs are aiding the men of the dreaded Islamic sect, Boko Haram. The soldier who did not reveal his identity, told VON Hausa Service, that sometime ago, while serving in Bama Unit in Borno state, a commander from a nearby unit got in contact with his own commandant and asked for backup. He said when he and the soldiers were to meet with the soldiers from the other commandant, they discovered they were given different uniforms and in the brink of launching the attack on the insurgent group, the soldiers from the other unit were withdrawn by their commandant leaving them to face the men of the Islamic sect alone with light arms. Cattle rustler this past weekend killed over 200 people who were attending a security meeting in Yargaladinma area of Dansadau community in Maru LGA of Zamfara state. The men said to have come in over a hundred motorbikes carrying guns and machetes, surrounded the building where the security meeting was holding and opened fire on them, killing over 100 on the spot. Some escaped, some died the next day while others were gravely injured. The Emir of the Dansadau, Alhaji Husaini Adamu, while expressing his sadness over the attack said “This is not the first time the people of the area would be facing such problem but this attack was the worst of its kind in the history of killings in this area.”.
